Use this tool to add tone marks to pinyin or to convert tone number (e.g. hao3) to tone marks.

Although you can use the red buttons to add tone marks, we highly recommend you use the number method (e.g. hao3) for speed and placement of the accent above the correct vowel. [Hint: Type "v" for "ü"]
Note: You do not need to use this tool to enter pinyin in this dictionary.

Last week in the WCC Office…

Last week WCC Dictionary iOS and Android had a great update with some features you guys have been asking for including being able to copy and paste characters into other apps on your mobile device!

In a nutshell:

  • WCC Dictionary 1.8.0 has been released to iTunes Connect and Google Play
  • What’s new:
      1. Hand write characters to identify and search for words
      2. Copy and paste characters easily using your phone’s clipboard
      3. Listen to paragraphs and longer pieces of text in the Chinese reader
      4. Learn to Read 75% of All Chinese Quickly with the Most Common Chinese Characters flashcard set
      5. Design tweaks to make it easier on the eye
      6. Issues with downloading additional packages now fixed

    Our WCC Dictionary just got some amazing features: being able to copy and paste characters, hand write to search in the dictionary, new flashcard sets and listen to paragraphs of text in Chinese!
