Although you can use the red buttons to add tone marks, we highly recommend you use the number method (e.g. hao3) for speed and placement of the accent above the correct vowel. [Hint: Type "v" for "ü"]

Here’s a quick rundown of how to use a coupon code you’ve been given for the Written Chinese Dictionary Mobile App!

Please note, these coupon codes are for digital products only, if you have a coupon code for a physical product such as a Chinese Learning poster or Chinese name stamp, go to the Written Chinese Online Shop and use your code before you proceed to checkout.

Log in to your Written Chinese Account

Click here to log in to your account or sign up for one. A Written Chinese account is completely free, and its main purpose is so that you can sync your flashcards and other Chinese learning tools to other mobile devices or be accessed on the web.

If you’ve created an account in the Written Chinese Dictionary app, use the same email and password to log in.


Written Chinese Study Space

Once you’ve logged into the Written Chinese Study Space, go to the WCC Corner Shop, located above and to the right of the character.

Find the product that you want to purchase and add it to your Shopping Cart. If you have a bundle offer, make sure to add all of the products at once, as your code may have a limited use. Once you have finished adding products, go to MY SHOPPING CART in the bottom right-hand corner.

Type in your coupon code and hit ‘Apply’. If the coupon code was successful, a small notice will appear and the cost of your purchase will be removed from your bill. Other products that are not included in the offer will still need to be purchased.


Finally, click the ‘CHECKOUT!’ button and a summary of your purchase will appear.

Open your Written Chinese Dictionary app

Once you have paid or viewed the summary page you can open your Written Chinese Dictionary app and view your item there. You shouldn’t have to sync your new purchase, but if the item does not appear please go to ‘ME’ in the menu bar and tap ‘BACKUP FLASHCARDS AND SYNC’.
