得 – used after a verb (or adjective as main verb), linking it to following phrase indicating effect, degree, possibility, etc.
Study
The character 得 has several different tones and pronunciations, but in this situation, it has the pinyin ‘de’. Since this character can be tricky, we’re going to stick with the simple sentence pattern:
Verb + 得
The sentence pattern uses a verb to create a complement.
For example:
说得很好。
To speak well.
吃得太快。
Eat too quickly.
