Use this tool to add tone marks to pinyin or to convert tone number (e.g. hao3) to tone marks.

Although you can use the red buttons to add tone marks, we highly recommend you use the number method (e.g. hao3) for speed and placement of the accent above the correct vowel. [Hint: Type "v" for "ü"]
Note: You do not need to use this tool to enter pinyin in this dictionary.

– busy/hurriedly

– each/every

妹妹 – younger sister

男人 – a man/male

Study

We can use 每 to express ‘every’. It should be used with a measure word and 都, which is used for emphasising quantity.

You can use the sentence pattern: 每 + Measure Word (+ Noun) + 都

For example,

个周末去酒吧。(tā měi gè zhōu mò dōu qù jiǔ bā)

Every weekend he goes to the pub.
