比 is used for making comparisons.

Use the sentence pattern:

Noun + 比 + Noun + Adjective

For example, 

他比我高。He is taller than me.

To say something is ‘even more than’ in a comparison, you can use a sentence pattern:

Noun + 比 + Noun + 更 + Adjective

这里的冬天比深圳的冬天更冷。 The winter here is colder than the winter in Shenzhen.
