You may already know that to ask how old someone is using 几岁 (jǐ suì), but you can also ask using 多大 (duō dà) specifically for adults.

You can respond with:

我儿子一岁 。My son is 1 year old. 

她妈妈今年45岁。 Her mother is 45 years old this year.
