Study

While we use 还是 as ‘or’ in a question, 或者 is used in a statement. 

You can use the sentence pattern:

Option 1 + 或者 + Option 2

For example, 

你可以选择坐火车或者坐飞机去那里。

You can choose to go there by train or by plane.
